Are you aware how your district’s mental health program aligns amongst national standards? Are you curious how to promote healthy development of school-aged youth? Come and learn how our district used the School Health Assessment and Performance Evaluation Assessment (SHAPE) tool to increase mental health awareness, provide training to school personnel and connect youth with needed mental and behavioral health services in our journey to becoming a model trauma-information school district. After attending this workshop participants should be able to summarize the purpose of the SHAPE assessment tool and how to use it, apply the stages of implementation and formulate a plan to move your classroom, school and/or district’s ideas or initiatives into action.
