About me
Khara’s life’s work has been devoted to the future of our youth and their families. From community based organizations to health and wellness training to public education, in all her endeavors she ensures that she is improving the life experiences of those who have been forced to live life in the margins by society. Khara has a Bachelors from Missouri State University in Sociology and African American studies, a Masters in Remedial Reading from Lindenwood University and an Educational Specialists in Curriculum and Instruction from Liberty University. Khara was a selected member of cohort XI with National Academy of Advanced Teacher Education in their teacher leader program and a School Leader Lab 2021 alumni.
Currently, Khara is a Special Education Curriculum Coordinator with previous experience as a(n): Director of High School Programs (KC Scholars), Assistant Principal, Equity Coordinator, Student Success Coordinator, Instructional Coach and classroom teacher. She is passionate about her family and improving herself, and improving her community via. In her free time (ha ha ha) she takes naps.
