About me
Delia Carmen Pérez-Solórzano is a first-generation Mexican and Puerto Rican American from Chicago, and she is a devoted wife, mother, and educator with over 20 years in K-12 education. She is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Educational Leadership at Baker University. Her career has evolved from working as an ESL teacher aide to serving as a high school Spanish teacher and multi-sport coach, and she now holds the position of Career & Technical Education Curriculum & Instruction Coach in Kansas City, She has dedicated her career to education to supporting and empowering educators to create culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and inclusive learning environments for all, especially for LGBTQIA+ and immigrant communities, while also enjoying quality time with her family, cooking, and cheering on Chicago sports teams.
